Deleting your data
How to remove your account or your mandal's records, and what happens when you do.
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Deleting a single entry
Any entry can be deleted from the app by the member who recorded it, or by a treasurer or admin.
The receipt number stays used. A receipt book with a missing number is what an auditor questions, so the number is never handed out again.
Leaving a mandal
Ask an admin to remove you. Your account stops having access immediately. Entries you recorded stay in the mandal's books, because they are the mandal's records rather than yours.
Closing a mandal
A super admin can close a mandal from the app. Everyone is released and the join code stops working.
To have a closed mandal's records permanently erased, write to us from the super admin's email address with the mandal code.
Deleting your account and everything in it
Open the app, go to More → Legal → Delete account, and slide to confirm. Nothing else is needed and nobody has to be written to.
You get seven days to change your mind. Nothing is deleted in that time — signing in again cancels the request, and there is nothing else to do.
After seven days your membership and your sign-in are deleted automatically. Entries you recorded stay in the mandal’s books with your name on them; they are the mandal’s records rather than yours.
A mandal’s only super admin cannot delete their account, because it would leave the committee’s books behind an account nobody can sign into. Close the mandal, or write to us to hand it to another member, first.
Records we are required to keep — for example payment records for tax purposes — are retained for as long as the law requires and nothing longer.
What deletion does not cover
Receipts already delivered to donors are on their phones and cannot be recalled.
Backups roll off on their own schedule; deleted data is removed from them within 90 days.
