Terms of use

The agreement between your mandal and us. Written to be read, not to be skipped.

What this service is

Vargani is a record-keeping tool for a mandal's income and expenses. It helps you write down what you collected and spent, and produce receipts for donors.

It is not an accountant, an auditor, or legal or tax advice. Whether your records satisfy your obligations is for your committee and your auditor to decide.

We never hold, move or receive your mandal's money. Donations go directly between the donor and whoever collects them.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for what is done through it. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.

The person who creates a mandal becomes its super admin and decides who else may join and what each member can do. Approving a member is your decision, and so is what they can then see.

What you record

Your mandal's entries are yours. You are responsible for their accuracy and for having a proper basis to record a donor's name and mobile number.

By entering a donor's mobile number you confirm they are willing to receive their receipt on WhatsApp.

You agree not to use the service to record anything unlawful, or to send anything to a donor other than their receipt.

Plans and payment

A mandal collecting up to ₹50,000 in a financial year pays nothing. Above that, a plan sized to your annual collection is required for new entries to continue.

A plan runs for one year from the day it starts, not to the financial year end. Nothing renews automatically and no card details are stored.

When a plan ends, the mandal returns to the free tier. Every entry, report and receipt remains exactly as it was.

Prices are in Indian rupees and may change. A change never affects a plan you have already paid for.

Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. The app records entries offline and syncs when it can.

Receipt delivery depends on WhatsApp, which we do not control. If a message cannot be delivered, the receipt credit is returned to you and you can still share the receipt yourself.

Ending it

You can stop using the service at any time, and a super admin can close a mandal from within the app.

We may suspend an account that is being used unlawfully, or to harass donors. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

Liability

We provide the service as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what your mandal has paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
