Getting started
The things a committee usually wants to know on day one.
Creating your mandal
Open the app, choose your language, and sign in with Google. Choose “Start a new mandal” and give it a name — that is the whole setup.
You become the super admin. Add your mandal's address, registration number and logo when you have a moment; they appear on every receipt.
Adding your committee
Open Members and share the six-digit join code in your mandal's WhatsApp group.
Everyone who enters it appears in your list waiting for approval. When you approve someone, you choose what they can do: view only, volunteer, treasurer, or admin.
Nobody sees anything until you approve them, so a code shared in the wrong group is not a problem on its own.
Setting up your receipt
Under Mandal details you can set the wording on your receipt — the line above your name, what the receipt is called, the closing line, and up to three signatures.
Choose the receipt language separately from the app language. Most committees run the app in whatever they prefer and send Marathi receipts.
Each utsav keeps the wording it was created with, so changing this year's does not rewrite last year's receipts.
Recording your first vargani
Pick the utsav that is running, then tap Income. Enter the amount, choose how it was paid, pick the head, and enter the donor's name.
Add a mobile number and the receipt goes to them on WhatsApp. Leave it blank and you can still share the receipt image yourself.
Slide to save. That deliberate drag is there so a mis-tap in a crowd never issues a receipt number.
At the end of the season
Open Reports, choose the period, and read the totals by head, by collector or by payment mode. Export to CSV when the auditor asks.
On 31 March the books close and the new year starts from zero. Every past year stays readable.
